Yesterday's sermon was about God's wisdom. I wrote this as I listened to the message.
Grant Me Wisdom - Lee A Buckingham, August 2nd, 2009
Lord, grant me wisdom.
The ways of men lead to nothing,
they are circular paths,
taking me from trouble to trouble.
Lord, grant me wisdom.
Keep me from the lures of anger, of vindication.
My enemies may prosper and succeed in their ways,
but I must not become like them.
Lord, grant me wisdom.
My fretting and worrying are angering to You.
They lead me to fearful, darkened thoughts, and Your enemies rejoice.
Fill me with Your peace, and dispel my wayward fears.
Lord, please grant me wisdom!
So many desires, so many needs, fill my mind.
All my plans, and all my cunning will bring me nothing.
If You do not lift the blindness from my eyes, I cannot succeed.
Lord, I need Your wisdom.
In my eyes, the pebbles seem as mountains,
and the lion as a gnat.
I will be lost, and I will be devoured.
Lord, grant me wisdom,
that You might delight in me.
Let me bring joy to Your courts, and peace to my house.
Grant me Your wisdom, Lord, so I may live.
